Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Bayqus collects, how it moves, where it is stored, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It is written around international, GDPR-aligned best practice. We built Bayqus to monitor the health of your devices — not the people using them.
1. Who we are
Bayqus is a managed-IT monitoring platform and trademark of ONYX, a technology company established in 2019 (onyx.az). We monitor servers, PCs and network devices for uptime and health, and connect to the help.onyx.az helpdesk.
- Operator: ONYX. Full company registration details are available on request at support@bayqus.app.
- Contact for all matters (support, privacy, security): support@bayqus.app
2. What data we collect
Account data
When you register or request a demo, we collect the information you give us — typically your name, work email and company name, and optionally a phone number. We use it to create and secure your account, provide support and communicate with you about the service.
Device telemetry — health metrics only
A lightweight agent you install on your own devices reports health and inventory data. This is limited to operational signals such as:
- Online/offline status, uptime, CPU, RAM, disk per volume, network in/out, disk I/O and SMART health.
- Whether critical services are up or down.
- Inventory: operating system, hostname, IP address and the active username.
- Optional signals: antivirus status, pending updates.
- Via SNMP for switches, printers and UPS units: reachability, port up/down, traffic, toner/paper level, UPS battery and load.
3. How data is transmitted
The agent opens an outbound TLS connection (MQTT over port 8884) to the Bayqus core. No inbound port is ever opened on your side, and no VPN is required. Data flows one way — out from your device to us — over an encrypted channel. Each device authenticates with its own per-device enrollment token.
4. Where data is stored
Telemetry and account data are stored on the Bayqus core, which runs on self-managed infrastructure using an access-restricted database for storage and metric history.
- Data residency: the Bayqus core runs on self-managed infrastructure in the European Union and Azerbaijan; your data resides in the EU and Azerbaijan.
- Protection at rest: data is stored on access-restricted infrastructure in the EU and Azerbaijan.
- On-prem option: customers who need full data sovereignty can run the Bayqus core on their own infrastructure, in which case their monitoring data never leaves their environment.
5. How long we keep it
Metric history retention is plan-driven — the length of history we keep depends on your plan. Account data is kept for as long as you have an active account and for a reasonable period afterward as required to meet legal, tax and security obligations, then deleted or anonymised.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers (subprocessors) that help us run Bayqus, and only as needed to deliver the service:
- Self-managed hosting — the infrastructure hosting the Bayqus core, located in the EU and Azerbaijan.
Transactional email is sent from ONYX/Bayqus infrastructure. We may also disclose data where required by law. Our data-processing terms for business customers are covered in our Data Processing Agreement.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct data that is wrong, or to delete your data. To exercise any of these rights, email support@bayqus.app and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies and analytics
Our marketing site uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that we host ourselves. It does not set tracking cookies, does not collect personal data, does not follow you across sites, and shares no data with any third-party analytics provider — so no cookie consent banner is needed. The Bayqus portal uses only the cookies strictly required to keep you logged in.
9. Security
We protect data in transit with TLS 1.2+ and authenticate every device individually. For more detail on how the agent works, what leaves your network and how access is controlled, see our Security & Trust page.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and legal requirements evolve. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
